Welcome, my name's Terri & I'm a relational–integrative psychotherapist, yoga teacher and TRE practitioner.
I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times. We all encounter periods when our inner resources feel depleted and the ways we’ve learned to cope may no longer seem to work. You might feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of your direction.
Therapy & Somatics can offer a space to explore what’s happening beneath the surface — to deepen your understanding of your experiences, broaden your self awareness, understand how certain patterns may have developed and why they may no longer serve you, and importantly, help you develop new perspectives and strategies in order to feel more resourced and able to deal with life's challenges.
My therapeutic approach is relational-integrative with a holistic and somatic focus. This means grounding our work in a safe and trusting relationhsip and taking a 'whole person' approach. I integrate traditional psychotherapy with embodied approaches such as, somatics, therapeutic yoga, TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), and breath-work. For many people, particularly those who have experienced trauma, working with the body alongside talking therapy can be profoundly supportive, especially where other approaches may not have brought lasting change.
I recognise that reaching out for support, particularly for the first time, can feel daunting. My intention is to offer a supportive, non-judgemental and containing space, in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, deepen your self-understanding, and begin to feel more resourced.
If you are considering therapy and/or somatics you are welcome to get in touch. Taking that first step can feel difficult — but it can also mark the beginning of meaningful and lasting change.

Relational–integrative therapy offers a collaborative space to explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and embodied experiences. By combining talking therapy with an awareness of the nervous system and body, this approach supports deeper self-understanding, trauma processing and emotional regulation, and meaningful change.
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) is a body-based approach designed to gently release deeply held patterns of stress and tension. By activating the body’s natural neurogenic tremor response in a safe and supported way, TRE can help regulate the nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and support recovery from stress and trauma.

Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful way of working directly with the nervous system. By consciously engaging the breath, we can release held tension, regulate overwhelm, and create space for healing — supporting the body and mind to feel safer, more balanced, and more connected.

Therapeutic yoga offers a slow, attuned, and trauma-sensitive way of reconnecting with your body. Through mindful movement, breath, and awareness, it can help restore a sense of safety, regulation, and inner stability — supporting healing from the inside out.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call, giving us space to briefly connect and consider together what form of support may feel like the right fit for you.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, the impact of trauma, or a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected. You may wish to change behavioural patterns, develop new coping strategies, or gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. Therapy can help as it can provide a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space to explore your experiences, deepen self-understanding, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Somatic therapy recognises the important connection between the mind and the body. Stress, trauma, and emotional experiences are often held in the body as well as in our thoughts and feelings. By bringing gentle awareness to physical sensations, breath, and nervous system responses, somatic approaches can support regulation, release held tension, and help restore a greater sense of safety and integration.
You don’t need to decide this before starting. Our first session is a consultation where we explore what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and what support might feel most helpful. From there, we can decide together what forms of therapy may meet your needs and consider if somatic approaches such as breathwork, therapeutic yoga, TRE, or a combination of these would best support you.
Not at all. As an integrative therapist I work with you to find an approach that feels the right fit. Somatic approaches are always optional and introduced gently. Some clients prefer to work primarily through talking therapy, while others find that including the body can deepen the process. Some clients may prefer to take an entirely body based approach such as TRE or Therapeutic Yoga. Once we've decided on an approach, we move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you, and you are always in control of how we work together.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy or somatics. We may talk about your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. You will also have space to ask any questions about how I work, and about any uncertainties you may have. If we both feel that we're a 'good fit' for each other, together we'll begin thinking about a therapeutic plan.
Sessions usually involve open conversation about what feels most important for you. At times we may also include somatic awareness practices such as breath, grounding, or gentle movement if this feels supportive. Each session is shaped collaboratively, with the aim of helping you feel more resourced, understood, and able to navigate your experiences.
